Hello, I'm Sheila Cote, and I've been a dedicated realtor since 2011. While my journey as a realtor has been incredibly fulfilling, one unexpected passion has become a cornerstone of my mission – the art of downsizing and decluttering.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of assisting numerous clients in preparing for their moves by streamlining their spaces. My focus was always on the transformative "after" picture, a vision that would be presentable to the public. What started as a service to clients evolved into a profound realization – the need for expert guidance in downsizing is not just a service;
it's a calling.
Recognizing the immense need for comprehensive support in the complex world of downsizing and moving, especially for families scattered across different states, I decided to establish Simplify Michigan. Here, we go beyond the conventional approach, understanding that the journey of downsizing is not just about physical spaces; it's about embracing change and simplifying lives.
As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), I have a special affinity for working with seniors. It brings me immense joy to assist them in navigating the transitions that come with downsizing, ensuring that each step is marked by understanding, compassion, and a commitment to creating spaces that truly feel like home.

Over the years, Susie has planned small events, including creating her own floral designs, finding joy in the process and the vibrant scent of fresh flowers.
She also had the privilege of being the primary caregiver for her beloved grandparents, an experience that deepened her compassion and respect for others.
Passionate about helping people through life's transitions, Susie has assisted clients with downsizing, organizing, and moving into smaller independent and assisted living spaces. She has led the emotionally challenging tasks of cleaning out estates and preparing homes for sale through staging.
Her approach is marked by empathy, practicality, and attention to detail.
Currently a homeschool mom to her two children, ages 9 and 14, Susie balances her professional and personal life with enthusiasm. She enjoys gardening, crafting, baking, kayaking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
